Default Aggro?

Ive been away from the game for some time now, so i might seem somewhat noobish. Anyways, what i want to know is, is there anyway a warrior can keep the monsters hitting him? like a tank in WoW (ikno, wow is blasphemy against GW)

Agrro is very different in Guild Wars then in wow.

There are no skills to keep aggro or threat meter or anything like that.

If you are with a party of 8 it is best to let the warrior run in first and get aggro. Then you will kill things so quickly that keeping aggro after that doesnt matter too much.

When doing elite areas, one person will gather enemies and ball them up. Then they will remain still so that aggro is not lost. At this point the rest of the team can spike or whatever they have. boom boom yay.

Finally, i want to say that warriors are not necessarily tanks in guild wars. They weren't made as a class specifically to tank and thus done have many ways to holding or keeping aggro. In guild wars, however, holding aggro does not have AS much use. There aren't giant enemies and bosses like in WoW or main tanks and off tanks.

If you have any more question try reading this:

Yea sins are more common tanks now then wars. Wall blocking is often used to hold aggro but can't be done everywhere and you have to be very skilled to do it right.

Forcing aggro to be on you is impossible, but nudging aggro is very possible, for example by having lower armor than anyone else, using a vampiric weapon and other methods. The idea is that the AI tries to go for the weakest target it can see, so all you need to do is to appear to be the weakest target.

Of course like everything else in GW, manipulating aggro is about teamwork.
